Gritz & Jelly Butter
Artist ID: 31874
If you are at all active in the underground R&B/Soul/Hip Hop scene in Atlanta, chances are you have heard of the dynamic live music sensation, Gritz & Jelly Butter. Most in the know view the group as the city's top band often referring to them as the...'Peoples Champ'. Less than a year old, the band has accomplished what typically requires years of market presence because of their well known chemistry, musical and vocal talent, and visual/stage presence. The band consists of Lead Vocalist and Keyboardist j.winston, Drummer and Lyricist David "Sho-Tyme" Holmes, Percussionist Rory "Rooster" Edwards, Lead Vocalist Chocolate Thaii, and Bassist Wayne "Mister" James. Their song repetoire includes today's most popular R&B & Hip-Hop Cover songs, an impressive list of popular originals spanning multiple genres, and a miscellaneous category that includes Reggae, Rock, Jazz, & more. This is a must see, must experience band for ANY music lover of any age, culture, or musical taste. Still need re-assurance? This description of the band was recently posted to Apache Cafe's website by the club owners in announcing their upcoming Holiday concert. (note: Apache Cafe has birthed many a star over the years and is internationally recognized as the number one location for underground music in the South)

REFERENCES
They were great, and the students really enjoyed them. They were especially cool taking care of Collin (they guy who put most of the work in to pull the whole event off). Being the social chair is a pretty thankless job (as you know), and they really made a special gesture by getting him up on stage and giving him a drummer's symbol signed by the band. He carried that thing around the rest of the night showing it off! Please relay my thanks to them for doing that.
I got a few of your cards from Wayne, and will make sure to give it to them to the folks taking over for me next year.
Thanks a lot for your help and recommendations, and take care,

They were awesome!!! Everyone loved them and they were great to work with. Few people even got their card I think. If they ever need any kind of reference or recommendation, I'd be more than happy to give one.
Thanks so much for recommending them!
